Worked as a local preacher in Batesburg-Leesville, SC, for the Twin City church of Christ from 2015-2019. This was my first and, so far, only local work as a preacher. I had filled in at several places before I attended preacher training school. Before then, I worked for UPS for over twenty years.

We moved our family to Gautier, MS in September 2020 and began to look for ways to be effective in the work of the church while we were raising our support to live and work on Guam. Gautier is located on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, which is itself a mission field. We associate with three congregations there on a regular basis: Gautier, Vancleave, and Eastside (Ocean Springs). I built and maintain websites for both Gautier and Vancleave.

We began to perceive a need for short and concise Bible related lessons on YouTube. Most people do not have long enough attention spans, or time, to watch 20-30 minute videos on a regular basis, so we created “The Mississippi Gospel Minute.” Admittedly, we have not posted videos on there for quite some time as our focus has turned to Guam and that takes most of our time. We would welcome someone taking responsibility for that channel and making a go of it.

Looking for a way to give back to the community led us to working with the food bank that operates out of the Eastside church of Christ’s building. We were able to help with that for several months before we went back on the road raising funds of our work on Guam. That opened our eyes to a lot of needs that people may have. We had opportunity to pray with several who would come, and got to know a few of them pretty well.
